January Local RI Artists

We are so thankful to be able to support our local Rhode Island artists by offering them a showcase in 2 of our offices, Narragansett and Jamestown. Starting off 2021 we have Veronique Godbout showcasing in our Narragansett Office and Christa Stricklin showcasing in our Jamestown office.

Veronique creates whimsical graphic artworks and vivid modern paintings. With a background in graphic arts, you can often find visual elements, patterns, and typography in her work. She was born and raised in Quebec, Canada and moved to the United States 11 years ago when she fell in love with a wonderful romantic sailor. She is pursuing her creative dreams of being a professional artist and spends a good portion of her time creating art, teaching, and sharing her artistic wisdom.

Christa’s primary subject matter and passion is oysters. She has been fascinated with each shell’s unique depth and luminosity. Her paintings strive to render the delicate yet strong nature of these seaside treasures. Since becoming a Jamestown resident, the rugged beauty of the island has inspired her work. Her textural landscapes are an effort to preserve a moment in time, the feeling of a day, or the memory of a mood. Christa is an art educator and painter working in Jamestown.
